grand opening on saturday 3, 7 pm

In the projectspace mica moca Doris Hansen presents for two weeks installations from her series microworlds.

The visitor recognizes natural phenomena and formations of landscapes, but they are extremely simplified and modified.
The material is chosen by the criterium of the highest possible artificiality: styrofoam, synthetics, plastic and plasteline.

The artificiality of this perfect world of plastic splendour is enforced by the use of forms which resemble extraterrestrial imaginations of early science fiction movies and comics.
The viewer dives into a gorgeous kaleidoscope of artificial paradises.

Large scaled works are combined with very small works, which are to be discovered at surprising spots in the former safe factory.

Die zweite ExperienceReturnMission der Gruppe Voyager 3 startet an diesem Freitag, 17. Juni 2011, ca 21.30 Uhr, im Körnerpark in Berlin-Neukölln.

Zwei Wetterballone tragen Kunstobjekte von Anna Gatjal und Doris Hansen in die Stratosphäre. Mit auf die Reise geht ein GPS-fähiges Android-Handy, das den Start und den Flug filmt.

In der Stratosphäre wird der mit Helium befüllte Ballon platzen. Die Objekte segeln mit einem Fallschirm zurück zur Erde.
Dort werden sie hoffentlich gefunden und zu uns zurückgeschickt, ebenso wie die Speicherkarte des Gerätes. Dem glücklichen Finder winkt eine tolle Belohnung!

This event ignites SPACEgarage, starting artprojects with scientifical background -- A producer´s platform giving stage for exchanging inspiration within scientific minds and visional speculation.

SPACEgarage sends for the first time artwork into stratosphere. Two weather ballons have been carrying Gary in the SPACEcapsule and portbunny into low gravity. They are on an ExperienceReturnMission, gliding back to unknown terrains.

While portbunny has savely landed in Poland, Gary is still missing...

Am Samstag den 11.12.2010 werden wir - Anna Gatjal, Neven Dološ und Doris Hansen – feierlich unser Projekt SPACEgarage starten.

Mit einer historischen Weltpremiere: zum ersten Mal wird Kunst in die Stratosphäre geschickt.

Wir werden zwei mit Helium befüllte Wetterballone steigen lassen. Die von innen beleuchteten Ballone tragen Kunst-Objekte von Anna Gatjal und Doris Hansen nach oben. Nachdem die Ballone in der Stratosphäre zerplatzt sind, segeln die Objekte mit einem kleinen Fallschirm zurück zur Erde, werden dort hoffentlich entdeckt und nach Berlin zurückgesendet.
Wir freuen uns darauf, Sie und Euch am Samstag um 16 Uhr zum Ballonstart im Görlitzer Park begrüßen zu dürfen.

The relief Geschwader has been presented in the groupshow Salon Schwarzenberg for the first time. It consists od four triangular pieces. The perspective of the viewer seems to be underwater. In the lower part of the installation huge see-plants are sprawling which are inabited by tiny animallike characters. Above a giant sunrise just takes place crossed by a small squadron of spacecrafts.

Currently I am building a series of extremly tiny objects (about 6 cm diameter) which are gardens and spots of cropping. They consist of plastic pearls, modeling clay and plexi glass.

FREESTYLE ANARCHY. Installation at the "luft und liebe"-party at funkpark berlin (august 2009)

The organizers of the annual techno- event "luft und liebe" ordered a huge piece of 9 meters for their location "funkpark berlin", which is the former home of the gdr-broadcast. I placed my landscape into a double window and the interplay between the bright colours and hilarious forms of the installation with the surrounding dark brown-coloured room with its typicall gdr-tristesse was astonishing.

international summeracademie autocenter berlin (july 2009)

In July 2009 I took part in the first "international summeracademie autocenter berlin". For several days artists from all over the world worked together and discussed their pieces in the hospitable and relaxed atmosphere of the autocenter gallery. At the end the results were displayed in a group show. I attended the sculpture-class of Marc Bijl, which was really inspiring and we had much fun as well...

On the pictoplasma conference I gave a lecture about my work to an international audience. I explained how it all started out, spoke about its development and showed what I have been working on recently. It took place in the "Haus der Kulturen der Welt" in Berlin.
